For the Bardo Running Club, May 2025 was not just another month — it was a showcase of endurance, community, and commitment. With three major events in Norway, our runners took to tracks, trails, and city streets to honour Bernardo’s legacy and raise awareness for every child facing osteosarcoma.
Victories on the Track: Holmenkollstafetten 2025
With more than 5,000 teams and 70,000 participants, Holmenkollstafetten is one of Norway’s largest and most celebrated relay races. The Bardo Running Club delivered an extraordinary performance, finishing 20th overall out of 4,493 teams and securing 1st place among all charities. Beyond the rankings, it was a victory of spirit — proof that teamwork and purpose can carry us further than we ever imagined.
Trailblazing in Lofoten: Skyrace 32 km
From the crowded streets of Oslo to the wild landscapes of Lofoten, our runners tackled the 32 km Skyrace, a technical ultratrail with more than 1,900 meters of elevation gain. With every peak conquered and every step through rugged terrain, the team showed the resilience that defines both the athlete and the patient community we support.
EcoTrail Oslo 80 km: Running for Research
Closing out the month, the club faced one of its toughest challenges yet — the EcoTrail Oslo 80 km. Through forests, rivers, and city streets, the route tested endurance as much as willpower. From panoramic views at Vettakollen to the finish at the Oslofjord, every kilometer honored Bernardo’s dream and every donation helped fuel vital osteosarcoma research and family support programs.
More than Miles
May was more than a busy calendar of runs. It was a testament to what community can achieve when grief becomes action and when determination is laced with purpose. Each race carried with it the same message: we run for every child, every family, and the hope of a brighter future.
