An Evening of Film, Conversation and Community
The Bardo Foundation was honoured to co-host a special screening of the acclaimed film Campeón Gabacho alongside the wonderful Chamos Charity at The Charlotte Hotel in London.
A Powerful Film at the Heart of the Evening
The event brought together supporters, advocates and members of the community for an evening centred around the powerful story told in Campeón Gabacho. Directed by Jonás Cuarón and produced by Gabriela Rodriguez, the film follows Liborio, a young Mexican migrant who crosses the border into the United States in search of a better future, navigating prejudice, hardship and hope along the way. Through resilience, determination and humanity, the story explores themes of migration, identity and belonging.
With Thanks to Gabriela Rodriguez
A special thank you goes to Gabriela Rodriguez, producer of Campeón Gabacho, for supporting and contributing to the event. We are deeply grateful for her commitment to bringing powerful stories to the screen and for helping make the evening possible. The film resonated strongly with our audience and sparked thoughtful conversations that continued long after the screening had ended with cocktails and canapes.
Partnership with Chamos Charity
We would also like to thank our co-hosts, Chamos Charity, for their partnership and collaboration in making the evening such a success. Their dedication to supporting vulnerable children and families is truly inspiring, and it was a privilege to work together on this special event.
Thank You to Our Guests
Our sincere thanks go to every guest who attended. Your support, engagement and generosity helped create a memorable evening and raised vital funds for the charity. The energy and compassion in the room reflected the shared commitment to making a meaningful difference.
Stay Tuned
We look forward to continuing to create opportunities for connection, awareness and impact through future events and collaborations.
